No, there is no substance in this rumour that I criticized Koena Mitra saying she does not have dancing style. I don't know why the media is blowing things out of proportion about things I have not said. There is no problem between us and even I personally talked to Koena and clarified my stand on this entire issue.

How do you react on being called an item girl in the film industry?

I feel proud and there is really nothing wrong if the tag provides you name, fame and a good amount of money in the film industry. Item girls' job is not an easy one and requires hours of practice, learning new dance steps to jazz up the performance each time. For many it is easy to criticize those who are on top but it takes a lot of hard work, dedication and commitment to achieve success in the present competitive world, where everyday many new comers join the glam industry.

Have you ever faced problems like exploitation and casting couch in the industry?

No, I know how to handle such situations and one should be bold enough to refuse such proposals in life. As in the long run, it is hard work and your goodwill, which matter in the industry. I would like to suggest to youngsters coming from good families, that they should have patience and wait for the right opportunity.

What are your upcoming plans?

After the huge success of the item song 'Aankho mein aankhe daal seekh le' of the movie Munna Bhai MBBS, I am touring metros performing live and soon I will be heading for the United States for a live performance. However, in future I could try for proper roles in movies, but only if I get a good offer from a big banner.
